2016 Artisans of the Wine Country Vinho Tinto
Vern J. Vierra, the owner of St Jorge Winery, grew up making wine alongside his father and grandfather. This labor became a yearly social event bringing together family from all over the world. His passion for wine making grew his many trips to Europe and the experiences of his childhood. He created his dream winery in the heart of the Lodi wine country in California with beautiful green vineyards and beautiful Mediterranean-style buildings. The heat of the Lodi region creates perfect conditions for growing the grapes of his heritage.

Aromas of dark cherries, blueberries, and blackberries mingle among nuances of spice, toasty oak, and chocolate on the nose. Flavors of black cherry, blueberry, and raspberry unfold into undertones of smoky oak, spice, and dark chocolate. Supple tannins and welcoming fruit make this a lovely, approachable wine.
